Assignment for seminar and/or Bachelor thesis

23.02.2021: We would like to inform you that the new allocation procedure for the Bachelor Seminar and/or Bachelor Thesis will start on 24.02.2021 in the Lion Portal.

All those students of the bachelor courses BSc. BWL, BSc. VWL, BSc. Business Economics and BSc. WiWi 120, who want to attend a bachelor seminar in winter semester 2021/2022 or summer semester 2022, or their bachelor thesis
must submit their preferences in the allocation procedure by 21.04.2021 (cut-off deadline).

In the course of the current re-accreditation process, new study and examination regulations are created in the winter semester 2020/2021. The main change is that students of the B.Sc. WiWi 120 are now also required to attend a seminar in the field of economics, regardless of their minor subject.

There will be an information event to inform about all further changes related to the changes in the study program. We therefore ask you to refrain from further inquiries in this context.

Please read carefully all the information on the allocation procedure in the Löwenportal and keep a printout of your preference information, which you have checked again!

The results of the allotment procedure will be made available to you on the Löwenportal and on the website of the Examination Office under "News" after the procedure has been completed.

Please inform yourself independently from mid-May 2021.

If you have any questions, please contact us .

Changes in study regulations - transitional regulation in process

26.01.2021: Dear students,

We have recently received a number of enquiries regarding the new study and examination regulations and the changes to the study structure, as well as the "transitional arrangements".
.
Students who are enrolled in the "old" examination regulations can also finish their studies according to the old examination regulations - up to the respective expiry date - if the following requirements are met by the end of WS 2020/2021:
.
- Only the final thesis (Bachelor`s or Master`s thesis) is still to be completed, or
- A maximum of 30 credit points must be earned in coursework and examinations.
.
If you do not fulfil the necessary requirements to remain in the current regulations by the above-mentioned date, the upcoming "transitional regulation" will explain the transition to the new study and examination regulations in more detail, as well as provide information on possible equivalent modules and/or further individual module assignments.
.
In any case, we will ensure that no student suffers any disadvantage.
.
Unfortunately, this regulation is currently still being processed by the Examination Committee and the Examination Office, so that we are not yet able to provide you with any more detailed information. Unfortunately, due to the special circumstances of the last few months, the changeover, as well as the decision-making process for the transitional regulation, has been severely affected.
.

As soon as new information is available, we will announce it accordingly. According to current planning, the publication of the transitional regulation will take place in the 11th week.
.
Thank you for your understanding

Requirements Remaining of old study and examination regulations

15.10.2020: Students who are enrolled in the "old" examination regulations can also finish their studies according to the old examination regulations - by the respective expiration date - if the following requirements are met by the end of WS 2020/2021:

- Only the final thesis (Bachelor`s or Master`s thesis) or

- Study and examination performances of a maximum of 30 credit points are to be achieved.

This decision has to be formally confirmed by the faculty council in the next meeting on 04.11.2020.

We hope that this will give you at least a certain planning security.

However, I would ask you to refrain from any further questions on this matter.

Thank you very much for your understanding.

Important update digital exams - Check-In process remains the same!

21.08.2020: Dear students,

Contrary to our announcement as of 15.07.2020, the process of the required check-in for exam participation cannot be changed due to unforeseen reasons. This is valid for the total exam period of the summer semester (including all exams during October).

The well-known and approved procedure for check-in hence stays unchanged:

In addition to registering for the exam in the Löwenportal, a check-in to the online exam room (exam platform) is required 8 to 3 working days before the exam day. For this purpose, as before, you will receive an e-mail to your student e-mail address (https://studmail.uni-halle.de/gw/webacc) at least 8 working days before the examination day, containing the time-limited link to the check-in to the online examination room.

Note: If you have not received a corresponding e-mail (student e-mail address) 7 working days before the examination day, please contact the Wirtschaftswissenschaftliches Prüfungsamt () immediately.

Thank you for appreciation!

Amendment of the examination regulations

05.08.2020: Dear students,

.

In the context of the re-accreditation of our study programmes, which is imminent, new examination regulations have been created which have already been published in the Official Journal and will soon be published on our website.

.

These examination regulations will come into effect as of winter semester 2020/2021 and are also going to apply to students who are already enrolled. Students who, at the effective date of the examination regulations, only have to complete the final thesis or still have to complete study and examination credits amounting to 30 credit points, can finish their studies according to the old examination regulations by 31.03.2022.

.

Students of the M.Sc. EmpÖk 120 LP must finish their studies according to the old examination regulations by 31.03.2024. Students of the M.Sc. EIW 120 LP must finish their studies according to the old examination regulations by 30.09.2023. Otherwise for both study programmes, continuation of the studies is only possible according to the new examination regulations (in the case of M.S. EmpÖk 120 LP this means according to the regulations of the M.Sc. “Economics: Data Science and Policy” 120 LP). Following a decision of the Faculty Council of 24.06.2020, students already enrolled will be transferred to the new examination regulations by the end of the winter semester 2020/21 effective of summer semester 2021. Until this time, all students already enrolled in summer semester 2020 will continue to study under their current examination regulations. Together with the transfer, all exams taken will be recognized, so that you will not be disadvantaged by this. The examination board and the faculty council will announce the corresponding regulations for the transfer during the winter semester.

.

We ask to refrain from further inquiries. You are going to be informed in time. On instruction of the faculty management, we are not going to provide any information beforehand.

.

We thank you for your understanding!

technical delay on homepage - area examination dates

25.06.2020: Dear students,

due to technical reasons, the examination dates do not show the examination dates of the summer semester.

The examination dates, as well as the corresponding deadlines, will still be displayed in StudIP and in the Löwenportal.

Registration for the examination (2nd repeat examination)

12.06.2020: Dear students,
.
Currently we are receiving more and more inquiries about the procedure for the registration of second reexaminations.
.
Due to the current situation, it is not possible to personally apply for a second repeat examination (application) on site. Therefore, you are welcome to send us the "Application for a second repeat examination" https://pruefungsamt.wiwi.uni-halle.de/formulare/?lang=en) by mail, via the letterbox at Grosse Steinstraße 72 or electronically via (students) e-mail*. (*Please note that the application must still be signed).

.

Please note in this context that the application must be received within the registration period and must be completely filled out and signed in order to complete the processing.

.

Afterwards you will receive a notification of receipt from the Examination Office.
