Unsere Mission als Wirtschaftswissenschaftlicher Bereich ist es, die Welt heute und für zukünftige Generationen durch exzellente Forschung, Bildung und gesellschaftliches Engagement zu verbessern. Die wirtschaftlichen, gesellschaftlichen und persönlichen Transformationsprozesse einer zunehmend komplexer werdenden Welt möchten wir verstehen, vermitteln und verändern. Dies tun wir in den Bereichen Nachhaltigkeit, Digitalisierung und Governance.
Der Lehrschwerpunkt Nachhaltigkeitsmanagement setzt dies in Lehrveranstaltungen, Projekten und wissenschaftlicher Forschung um. Beispielsweise wird …
- in der Lehre das Thema Nachhaltigkeit aus ganzheitlicher Perspektive beleuchtet und dabei unter anderem die Potenziale von Unternehmen für eine nachhaltige Entwicklung aufgezeigt
- in der Forschung zeigen wir insbesondere wie Unternehmen Nachhaltigkeit umsetzen können, z.B. durch die Anwendung eines betrieblichen Nachhaltigkeitsmanagements in KMU
- im Transfer erarbeiten wir Ansatzpunkte für eine Gestaltung von Transformationsprozessen in Unternehmen in Richtung Ökologie- und Sozialverträglichkeit.
Welcome to the website of the Teaching Focus Sustainability Management
We are very pleased that since December 2022, the topic of sustainability management has been firmly anchored in the economics department of the Faculty of Law and Economics of Martin Luther University.
Our motto is: The challenges of our time are manifold! Only together can we meet them.
We see companies as key players on the path to sustainable development: they are co-causes of ecological and social problems, they are affected, but above all they have problem-solving potential.
For this reason, we devote our research and teaching to current issues of corporate sustainability management, such as the change processes of companies towards sustainability, the importance of employees for sustainable development, but also selected instruments such as environmental and sustainability management systems.
In addition to companies, universities in particular have a central responsibility in the context of sustainability. In the spirit of the "Whole Institution Approach", universities as places of learning take a holistic view of the topic of sustainability: in research and teaching, in operations and, for example, as central actors in our society. We would like to actively accompany this path of the Martin-Luther-University in the future!
As a framework, we use the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) launched by the UN as a framework for our commitment.
